Ok guys. If you ever noticed, Alesia's problem is not dumb AI. It's dumb skill selection. They gave her healing touch. Think about it.

Actually, yeah, I have been known to laugh, but then again it's usually one of my friends doing something stupid to get themselves killed.

The enemy AI isn't too bad, really. They follow a pretty standard RPG attack protocol: get the squishies first. Enemy warriors usually run right past me and go right for the hench casters and healers. They do tend to be stupid about protecting their own group members. but I think that's because they correctly assume that their healers and casters are where they're supposed to be -- at a distance from my melee attacks. Their squishies simply refuse to do idiotic things like hit warriors over the head with their purses. It would be nice if this were true about a certain hench I could name. I won't name name this hench because that would be ungentlemanly.

If I see a henchie do that, I think I may die of laughter. Though now I have visions of henchies in drag. Little Thom in a dress... *shudder*

Maybe it depends on the quest/mission you're on.
On several occasions have I to thank Reyna and Little T. for rezing me.

Though I do have to admit, that, depending on the situation, I usually rez Alesia last, when I'm questing with my E/MO char, for she usually runs for the next dead body regardless wether she'll argoss enemies or not.
Though sometimes it helps to draw back very, very far, to dissuade her from doing so.

Hello all
Another reminder -- please keep all personal attacks off these forums. And by all, I mean ALL. Just because one person resorts to insults does not mean that you should return the favor times two. There is always the option to report a post.
Happy playing!

The problem that I have with the enemies AI is that it is all the same for all enemies. An elemental or a devourer shouldn´t know who the monk is! Only intelligent enough enemies should attack the monks first!

Dunno, im just tired of things like azura shadows and ice imps being smarter than the hencies. They will move out of area of effect spells and switch target to the weakest hp member and not get stuck on each other moving to a target or randomly stop attacking and just hang out by wherever the player is. As much of a god stephan can be at times, it is quite disheartening when he decides to drop what he is doing and come chat with me and the rest of the casters regarding battle tactics while all the melee mobs rush us unhindered.
Its usually about then when alesia decides to start spritzing the monsters with her wand (awesome description btw), while orion uses firestorm once but lands where the melee monsters used to be, and the cultist hencmen runs around sacrificing all of his life to give all the melee members 3 extra pips of energy regeneration, since they are always "low on energy". There are also times when i see alesia chasing around the cultist henchmen trying to use healing touch while the cultist is busy running around busy sacrificing all of his life.

They allways do nothing when there are at least 5 enemies charging them, if I not attack they just stay and watch untill the moment the healer get 3 x power attacks and it is already too late. The other time when they charge mindlessly is then I try to PULL and LURE and EVEN do not target the enemy. Jerkstepping is useless in most of the times then. Also the henchmen got the SPECIAL ability to run to the members that need them less.
btw when you take in mind their behavior, make a tactic and take skills to "complete" them - you can do wonders. For example we did the Thunderkeep mission only with one monk - Mhenlo, the only other healers were my healing spring and one of the warrors signet (only for himself). ( I hate that pesky berserking dwarf)

I just love how when you get poison Alesia heals you insted of casting Healing breeze or some remove condition spell. Remove Hex would also be lacking.
My favorite part is when you die and Alesia rez you, then take 1 hit and boom death again. Couldn't she rez you and heal you, instead of rez you and heal other of the henchies that has more HP than you?
Another thing sometimes you run by a group of mobs that are fighting each other. You decide to run pass them, but the henchies decide "Let's Attack" . Or sometimes you decide to run pass a group, the henchies decide to stay and fight
I like how the warrior likes to agro too. You decide to pull by using a long range bow, and then walk back to separate the groups. There goes the warrior/s charging in

No, the warriors *always* carry res signets, and I'm pretty sure at least the ranger does too. Thing is, they use them immediately when someone dies. Unless you're paying close attention you wont notice one of them actually goes down - all you will see is Alesia low on health then boom full health.
They also only have one res signet per person, so the entire party can easily be out of signets after just one fight when Alesia decides that Healing Touch is teh uber healing spell (and then stays in the middle of the fray).

Last night i was exploring north of Granite Citadel with Henchies, We got swamped by Stone summin and everyone died except Claude (mage henchie) He used a res signet on me and then i fled the scene for a few seconds and then went back and ressed everyone and we then explored for a good hour or so. Henchies do come in handy, not just as cannon fodder

I wonder if they modeled the henchman AI on players that the developers doubtless sit and chuckle at while they're in the office.
*has a picture of the AN people sitting around a large screen plasma TV with one person in a PUG playing* They would be eating their burgers and taking notes on all the stupid stuff people do and say. I guess we're just lucky that the henchies don't talk.

Ummm... well, I know for a fact that Orion can rez, because I have a story similar to alexmeier175's. I was doing the Ruins of Sumaria bonus mission (all henchies), and when we got to the flame temple, imagine my suprise when big, bad lvl 12 W/Mo me was killed before I got in two good whacks. Well, there goes the entire mission, I said to myself. Nothing to do but sit there berating my own stupidity and waiting for the rest of my group to die so we could try again.
And yet... the battle continued to rage. Oh of course Alesia died. Alesia always dies, since she insists on proving to the world that yes, Monks CAN be tank. But Stefan soldiered on, and Orion, his health waning, continued to drop fiery death upon the enemy. To my shock, I heard the familiar clank of a sword being thrust through a shield! Mission complete... and WITHOUT ME. Stephan had a quarter of his health, and Orion had about 3 hps. So I thought, Now what? I'm dead, the healer is dead, the other two henchies will just sit there waiting for orders... can I Map out of here if I'm dead? While I'm congitating the gravity of the situation, something extraordinary happened. Before I could lift my jaw off the keyboard, Orion rezzed Alesia, and Alesia rezzed me.
My brave group of henchies and their humbled leader then finished the mission.

I'm wondering if Menhlo can rez in the Ring of Fire...twice I've gone in there trying to cap a skill and Lina died. Not wanting to use up my rez sig i waited for him to rez Lina.......for 10 minutes! By then I had already finished dinner so I just rez'd Lina and went on my way. Sounds like a glitch but has anyone else seen this?
